The Pavilion dv6-7000 will also be graced with an Intel Core i7 Ivy Bridge processor upon release. The updated 2012 version of the dv6 has a bushed aluminum Midnight Black look, replacing the Dark Umber design from last year. Most importantly, there will now be a backlit keyboard option, something that was missing (and much griped about) on the current dv6.
